What is the Hague Convention?
The Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption was completed in May of 1993. It was created in order to help protect children from being trafficked, abducted and sold between countries. Currently there are 75 countries that have signed the Hague Convention treaty.
